Highwood Hills Learning Center
The Highwood Hills Learning Center has been in existence since 2001.  There are four Emotional/Behavioral Disorder (E/BD) classrooms in the Learning Center as well as two Autism classrooms.

2007-2008 School Year
Three of the E/BD classrooms are self contained:  Paul Sturdevant teaches 5th-6th graders with classroom aides Jill Bertelsen and Diane Kindred.  Jennifer Lopinot- Stokes teaches 4th-5th graders with classroom aides Craig Sevick and Evelyn Walker.  Lisa Staves teaches 2nd -3rd graders with classroom aides Kim Voek and Katherine Snyder.

The fourth E/BD class is a resource room with grade levels 2nd - 6th grade.  These students have varied times and number of hours that they are mainstreamed.  These students are taught by Sherri Fromm with classroom aides Renae Novak and Faye Cantley.

Students in the Learning Center have a variety of services that are available to them based on need  including but, not limited to:

*Occupational Therapy  with Nikki Gordon

*Speech with Nancy Lucivansky

*Adaptive Physical Education with Hans Dykema

*Social Work with  Tom Lucy

*Special Education bus services
