Report/informational writing • Gathers, collects and shares information about a topic • Maintains a focus- stays on topic • Excludes extraneous information when prompted
Procedure/functional writing • Tells someone what to do • Names or labels objects and places
Response to Literature • Re-enacts and retells stories • Creates stories, poems, plays, and songs
