| Welcome to Kindergarten | | Kindergarten is a most exciting time for the children. There are new experiences, friends and activities to do. This can open a world of opportunity for children and their families.
Communication is an important process for parents and the school. There are many ways for parents to learn about their child's education progress and school involvement. First be sure to look in your child's backpack daily. All school communications concerning upcoming school events, calendar changes, parent involvement, student work and teacher-classroom notes will be sent home. Taking time daily to review with your child these notes and reminders, is an excellent way for you to be part of your child's education. If you have questions or need clarification about any notices, please feel free to contact Mrs. Parenteau.
We will be learning to read, writing each day and working in math. Your child will be continually assessed in each area. This will provide me with necessary information to provide your child with support and enrichment that will meet their needs.
As always as parent-school partners your help is appreciated. Children should be able to tie their own shoes, dress themselves, do their homework, and practice writing, reading and counting at home. This practice will allow your child to do their best. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Looking ahead: February 18 - PEK-Kindergarten Family Night - Special emphasis on Day 100 March 17, 19, 20 - Conferences
Here's to great learning!
