Here's our schedule: 9-9:30 Responsive Classroom and Journaling - 9:30-10:45 Everyday Math - 10:45-11:00 Shared Reading - 11:00-12 noon Reader's Workshop with Guided Reading - 12 noon-12:35 Recess and lunch - 12:35-1:15 Working with Word Wall Words and Phonics - 1:15-2:15 Writer's Workshop - 2:15-2:15 Vocabulary - 2:45-3:35 Specialist Class-P.E. or Science (rotating). This should be a fun learning year in second grade with many first grade students in the same classroom with the same teacher (called looping). This year the ELL (English Language Learner) teacher is Ms. Bakkum who team teaches during Reader's Workshop.
