The Highwood Hills Learning Center has been in existence since
2001. There are four Emotional/Behavioral Disorder (E/BD)
classrooms in the Learning Center as well as two Autism classrooms.
2007-2008 School Year
Three of the E/BD classrooms are self contained: Paul Sturdevant
teaches 5th-6th graders with classroom aides Jill Bertelsen and
Diane Kindred. Jennifer Lopinot- Stokes teaches 4th-5th graders
with classroom aides Craig Sevick and Evelyn Walker. Lisa
Staves teaches 2nd -3rd graders with classroom aides Kim Voek and Katherine Snyder.
The fourth E/BD class is a resource room with grade levels 2nd - 6th
grade. These students have varied times and number of hours that
they are mainstreamed. These students are taught by Sherri Fromm
with classroom aides Renae Novak and Faye Cantley.
