Welcome to second/third grade. We are excited for a new year
full of active learning and fun. We will be using the Responsive
Classroom philosophy to learn to work together by being caring,
assertive, responsible, empathetic, and show self-control. This
year we will also be using a new version of Everyday Math as our
math curriculumn. We will also explore our world through reading,
reading, reading.
I am very excited for our class to be
partnering with Mrs. Bolstorffs third grade class from Lake Elmo.
This partnership is made possible through the EMID grant.
Students have the opportunity to use technology and also participate in
3 to 4 field trips throughout the school year in order to meet and
reunite with their new friends.

We will have pre-student teachers from UW River Falls helping us throughout the year.
